Detroit Historical Museum Merchandise

For the Detroit Historical Museum Shop, I developed a heritage-inspired merchandise capsule rooted in the city’s industrial and cultural legacy. The collection blends archival typography, premium materials, and elevated construction details — including chain stitch embroidery, debossed vegetable-tanned leather, enamel drinkware, and distressed vintage screen prints. The goal was to create museum-quality retail that feels authentic to Detroit’s manufacturing history while remaining commercially viable. From apparel to leather goods and promotional items, the system was designed with a cohesive industrial aesthetic that honors Detroit’s past without feeling nostalgic or cliché. Work shown includes exploratory concept proposals developed for internal brand presentation. Not all concepts were selected or commercially released.
